Why a link in an email gets blocked
Mail services and messengers check every link in a message. They look at how old the domain is and whether it's listed in databases like VirusTotal and Google Safe Browsing. A link to a fresh domain or to one flagged as Phishing sends the email to spam and puts a warning on the message.

Good to know
We only set the A record, so the domain works for links and pages. You can't send mail from it as a sender address: that needs MX, SPF and DKIM records, which we don't set.
A clean domain is checked against 70+ VirusTotal engines and Google Safe Browsing when it's issued. After that its reputation depends on how you use it.
